Yoga and Reiki for Cats
So when it comes to exercise, there is nothing better than having the fur babies around. Animals love to get involved and spend time with you. As you can see below, Willow is the Ginger Female mummy which had a litter of kitties and we kept 1 "Charlie".
Willow and Charlie are now 3 and 2 years of age and love being around me whilst I head out to gain some Vitamin D and do my yoga. Charlie (the younger one as per picture above) is especially receptive to exercise, he loves being around me and participating. Willow is a little more standoffish and will join in when she feels like it.
The benefits of doing exercise and involving the animals is very rewarding and calming. Animals are very affectionate.
As you can see below, a lot of the exercise that the cats get involved in is Yoga
Lots of yoga names and words are taken from the animal kingdom, especially animals close to humans such as cats and dogs. Cats naturally know how to stretch themselves. The minute they wake up they stretch their entire bodies to keep their muscles active. Cats instinctively know how to stretch and stay healthy but humans — with busy lifestyles — forget. That is why it works to involve cats in your yoga practice. Having them around also helps us free the mind and body, just like they do.” Well, it’s got to be worth a try, don’t you think?
I start my practice by putting down my yoga mat and giving the cats a cuddle, this is not only therapeutic for the cats but also myself (FREE LOVE). Charlie / Willow weave their way in and out of my legs and arms before deciding that the best place to settle down is underneath me or even on top of me lol.... I manoeuvre myself around the obstacle before adopting the next pose, but in some cases there have been near misses when I have a fall "BLOOPER" be sure to check out videos below.
I must admit, that it is difficult to concentrate on my advanced poses when these kitties come to say hello, but I work with them.
Be sure to check out the videos of these beautiful creatures and the Reiki session with Charlie below.
Reiki with Animals
The Universal energy that flows through us all is amazing, we just need to learn how to tap into it, and this I have done. I do believe that my results are due to a lot more than just Reiki, it would be a combination of Reiki, Yoga, Meditation, Pranayama and Chakra Healing.... I know this is a lot to take in, but just believe me when I say, I am getting great results not only internally but externally.... Mental Health, Clarity, Clear minded, efficient, relaxed, energetic, happy, at Peace, feel fabulous - life is amazing. OK enough about all of that.
So recently our little Charlie went missing, to cut a long story short we found him, but he had been hit by a car. We took him to the vet and had some scans and fortunately nothing to serious. Now in the meantime he is still very under the weather. He stopped eating for two days, so I carried out Reiki on him... that same day he started eating again and regained his appetite. In the meantime, he must have had some internal bruising that caused an infection that got nasty on his belly. Back to the vet again! This time he is not eating again, so I carried out a second lot of Reiki on Charlie tonight. See video below.
You can see just how much animals talk to us if we listen, myself and the universal energy opened upto Charlie today.
I would love to hear from you
