This pose forms a central pillar of your yoga practic, as it is the simplest upright pose there is. The whole body is like a pillar from earth to heaven.
The chest expander, with the fingers interlaced to the heavens, lifting chest and hands and neck, is a great one for strengthening the muscles of the thoracic spine and opening up the chest and throat. Encourage deep breathing from the belly during this exercise.
Allowing yourself to move through the flow connecting to the Solar Plexus Chakra where the baby resides. Giving light and harmony, connect on an energetic level with bubby.
You can improve your balance in this pose by standing with your inner feet slightly apart, anywhere from 3 to 5 inches.
